Baofang Party Building in Yan'an

Members of the Baofang Party Building Red Second Regiment, comprising deputy general managers and technical backbones from various departments of the group, embarked on a journey to Yan'an, the cradle of the Red Revolution, under the theme of "Yan'an Spirit, Baofang Heritage". Accompanying them was the group's veteran secretary, Mr. Gao.

All members of the Red Second Army Corps, in the sacred revolutionary site of Yan'an, with the Yan'an Spirit as their soul, combined it with the actual development of the enterprise, and centered around their own work, launched a major discussion on the "craftsman spirit of excellence" and wrote an initiative letter titled "Learning the Yan'an Spirit and Carrying Forward the Spirit of Excellence".

"Striving for excellence" represents a quality, a capability, and a requirement: procurement should pursue higher "cost-effectiveness"; equipment should actively undergo reform and innovation, closely cooperating with production; production should regard quality as if it were life, honing craftsmanship internally and craftsmanship externally; sales should closely follow market customers, frequently visiting workshops to control quality; finance should maintain clear accounts, conduct statistical analysis, and reduce financial costs; the entire factory should strengthen security, conduct self-inspection and self-correction, and supervise each other.

In the Nanniwan Exhibition Hall, I saw a quote from Chairman Mao: "Difficulties are not unconquerable monsters. If we all pitch in to conquer them, they will bow down. If we rely on ourselves, we will have food, clothing, and supplies!" The spirit of Nanniwan, which emerged from nothing, combined with our Quality Month activities, has led us to seek truth from facts and speak the truth and do practical things in the face of reality. We have laid out all hidden problems and difficulties one by one, and many issues have been effectively improved and controlled. Quality has steadily improved, customers are more satisfied, brothers' work is more fulfilling, and family life is more fulfilling! Therefore, problems are not terrible; what is terrible is not facing and solving them. There are always more solutions than difficulties!

Yan'an has always been a place I yearn for. Today is the birthday of the Party, and it also happens to be the company's Party member activities in Yan'an, making it even more meaningful. With profound respect and reverence for learning, we visited six revolutionary sites in succession. Looking at the revolutionary artifacts and photos, listening to the explanations, we felt as if we were immersed in the revolutionary era. At that time, the Party faced adversity in such a harsh environment, overcame various difficulties, and always strived to build a new China. This inspiring spirit is admirable. This spirit remains advanced at any time, just like the current development of the company, which also faces bottlenecks and difficulties. Although these are insignificant compared to the revolutionary period, we still need to be armed with the Yan'an spirit: seeking truth from facts, striving for excellence, working hard, and serving the people. Under the guidance of this spirit, we will provide good service in business, ensure quality in production, develop new processes, introduce new auxiliaries, and achieve the best quality with the least cost to win the trust of customers. As long as we unite as one, there is no difficulty we cannot overcome, and no task we cannot accomplish.

Today, I visited the sacred revolutionary site of Yan'an to understand the Yan'an spirit. Considering the reality of our company, I believe that "striving for excellence" is the most valuable lesson to learn. Many quality issues have arisen during the current Quality Month activities, all due to technical defects in equipment and a failure to strive for excellence. In the future, whether it's equipment management, production processes, raw material supply, environmental tidying, or personnel management, we must strive for excellence. Only in this way can we ensure product quality. Quality management has only a starting point and no end. Quality management is always on the Long March!

This time, I came to Yan'an as a "problematic" party member. I am grateful to the chairman for giving me this opportunity to rein in my mistakes, deeply reflect on myself, earnestly comprehend the Yan'an spirit, and rectify the erroneous thinking in the work of party members and cadres at the contact points. The Red Army Corps I brought back the Yan'an spirit of "seeking truth from facts", while our Red Army Corps II brought back the craftsman spirit of "striving for excellence". The integration of these two spirits will definitely bring about a "qualitative" leap in our products.
