The Yanan spirit will always shine, and the Baofang spirit will be inherited and carried forward!

Innovative figures return to their hometowns, and the Yan'an spirit is forever passed down

          On June 4-6, Chairman Yu Baomu of Baofang Printing and Dyeing was invited to attend the expanded meeting of the 4th Council and 5th Executive Council of the China Textile Industry Federation held in Yan'an, and the "2018 China Textile Industry Annual Innovative Figure" award ceremony.

At the high-end industry symposium held at Zaoyuan Hotel, the chairman of Baofang, who has been in the industry for more than 20 years, delivered an innovation speech. He stated that innovation is Baofang's gene, from independent distribution of differentiated products, to environmental transformation and clean production, to transformation and upgrading of intelligent transformation, and then to becoming a world brand of green high-end. Baofang has always "never forgotten the original intention of building a strong country and enriching the people, and always remembered the mission of industrial revitalization".

During the conference, the representatives of the China Textile Federation organized a Red Learning and Education Party Day activity. The chairman and Secretary Li walked into Liangjiahe and felt the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance, hard work, seeking truth from facts, and innovation in this small village. The chairman and Secretary Li immediately decided that all members of Baofang must embark on the path of the Red Revolution, deeply study and understand the Yan'an spirit and the great questions of Liangjiahe.

Wangjiaping Revolutionary Site

The headquarters of the Eighth Route Army is located in Wangjiaping, northwest of Yan'an City, facing the city across the Yan River. After the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China entered Yan'an, the Military Commission and headquarters led the military and civilians in the base area to persist in the eight year resistance war here. We visited the Military Commission Auditorium, Operations Research Room, General Political Department Meeting Room, Military Commission Meeting Room, as well as the former residences of Mao Zedong, Zhu De, and Peng Dehuai. Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall

Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall is a memorial hall that displays revolutionary cultural relics and reflects the history of revolutionary struggle in Yan'an under the leadership of the CPC. A large number of precious revolutionary cultural relics showcase the glorious history of the Party Central Committee leading the Chinese revolution in Yan'an and the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia Border Region from October 1935 to March 1948, spanning nearly 13 years. The large number of revolutionary cultural relics exhibited in the Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall demonstrate the origin, development, and inheritance of the Yan'an spirit. During the domestic revolutionary period, in order to mobilize the workers and peasants and strengthen the belief in the Red Revolution, Chairman Mao said, "A single spark can start a prairie fire; During the Rectification Movement, in order to correct the ideological attitude within the party and reshape its spirit, Chairman Mao proposed the idea of "liberating the mind and seeking truth from facts". Only by seeking truth from facts can we complete certain tasks, and only by having foresight and insight can we maintain the direction of progress; During the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation, our party always adhered to serving the people wholeheartedly, uniting the masses, winning the hearts of the people, and ultimately winning the revolutionary victory of the broadest masses of the people.

The spirit of model workers who are brave in innovation, willing to dedicate themselves, and work hard is also a vivid embodiment of the Yan'an spirit, and the spiritual brilliance I have seen in many Baofang people.

Yangjialing Revolutionary Site

The Yangjialing Revolutionary Site is the former residence of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, located 2 kilometers northwest of Yan'an City. From November 1938 to March 1947, Mao Zedong and other central leaders and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China resided here. During this period, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China continued to command the battlefield behind enemy lines in the War of Resistance Against Japan and led the Liberation War, the Great Production Movement and the Rectification Movement, and held the 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Yan'an Forum on Literature and Art. The picture shows the Central Great Hall built in 1942, where the 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held from April 23 to June 21, 1945.

In March 1941, the 359th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army, led by its commander Wang Zhen, launched the famous Great Production Movement in Nanniwan. Nanniwan is the birthplace of the Yan'an spirit and also the birthplace of China's agricultural reclamation industry. The spirit of Nanniwan is an important component of the Yan'an spirit, and its core of self-reliance and striving for strength inspires generation after generation of Chinese people to overcome difficulties and achieve victory.

Yellow River Hukou Waterfall

Hukou Waterfall is the second largest waterfall in China and the largest yellow waterfall in the world. The Yellow River flows here, with steep cliffs on both sides and a narrow mouth like a pot mouth, hence the name Hukou Waterfall. The water surface of the Yellow River upstream of the waterfall is 300 meters wide and compressed to a width of 20-30 meters within a distance of less than 500 meters. A river water of 1000 cubic meters per second pours down from a steep cliff over 20 meters high, forming the spirit of "collecting a pot of water from a thousand miles of the Yellow River".

Zaoyuan Revolutionary Site

The Zaoyuan Revolution Site is the location of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. From 1944 to March 1947, the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China Central Committee was relocated from Yangjialing to this place. Zaoyuan is a garden style revolutionary memorial site with beautiful scenery in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The environment is serene, and there are a variety of flowers, plants, and trees growing inside. Various buildings are faintly dotted among them, creating a beautiful and charming scenery.

In Zaoyuan, there are the former residences of Comrade Mao Zedong, Comrade Zhu De, Comrade Zhou Enlai, Comrade Liu Shaoqi, and Comrade Ren Bishi, which are of great historical significance. During his residence in Zaoyuan, Chairman Mao wrote many important articles that guided the Chinese revolution, such as "Several Issues on Leadership Methods," "On the United Government," and "The Current Situation and Our Policies after the Victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan." Only 28 of them were included in "Selected Works of Mao Zedong. The picture shows Mao Zedong's former residence.

Liangjiahe educated youth site

In the late 1960s, Xi Jinping, then a teenager of fifteen or sixteen, arrived at the Liangjiahe Production Brigade in Liangjiahe Village, Yanchuan County, Shaanxi Province, and began his seven-year life as an educated youth. He lived in a cave dwelling and slept on a brick bed, enduring flea bites. He engaged in various arduous tasks such as building dams, carrying manure, constructing highways, and developing biogas energy. It was here that he joined the Communist Party of China and later served as Party branch secretary of the production brigade, remaining there until the autumn of 1975.

The seven years I spent working as an educated youth in northern Shaanxi left me with something that feels almost mysterious and sacred. Whenever we face a new challenge, a test, or take on a new task later in life, what surges in our minds are the folk songs of the local villagers, who toil like oxen on the northern Shaanxi Plateau.

Baota Mountain, historically known as Jialing Mountain, is located east of Yan'an City on the banks of the Yanhe River. It is commonly called Baota Mountain because there is a pagoda on it. Standing at 1,135.5 meters high, the pagoda on the mountain was first built in the Tang Dynasty and is now a structure preserved from the Ming Dynasty. Baota Mountain is an important symbol of Yan'an, the sacred place of the Chinese revolution. After the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China moved to Yan'an, this ancient pagoda became a symbol of the revolutionary sacred place.

"Time and again I dream of returning to Yan'an, with both arms I embrace Baota Mountain tight." He Jingzhi, the renowned litterateur, eulogized the sacred status of Baota Mountain in the hearts of the Chinese people with great passion. After the conclusion of the first group tour of Yan'an's red revolutionary sites, the sacred Party flag was brought back to Baofang from Yan'an and handed over to Secretary Li of Baofang's General Party Branch. On the suggestion of the Chairman, Secretary Li hung the Party flag in the production workshop, ensuring that the Yan'an Spirit is carried forward and perpetuated in Baofang.

Taking the Yan'an Spirit as its soul, the Chairman has refined the Baofang Spirit as follows:

"Whether on the battlefield or in the business world, the first principle to uphold is seeking truth from facts. We must never conceal the truth, tell lies or boastful remarks, let alone deceive others; instead, we should always have a strong sense of responsibility. Seeking truth from facts is the sole criterion for testing truth.

Second, regardless of the war years or the peace time, we must advance with the times and pursue reform and innovation. Faced with powerful enemies, Comrade Mao Zedong's strategic thinking broke the conventional rules. By flexibly and innovatively applying the theory of Protracted War, we achieved the victory of the revolution.

Third, whether in the army, factories or rural areas, Party members and cadres must serve the people wholeheartedly, take the lead in carrying forward the fine traditions of arduous struggle and diligence and frugality. Winning the people's hearts is the key to winning the world. This is the fundamental principle for conducting oneself and handling affairs, and also the essential guarantee for achieving complete victory!"
