[Baofang Party Building] The CPC Xingguo County Committee Visits Baofang Printing and Dyeing: Government-Enterprise Exchanges for a New Chapter of Development

On the morning of June 20, 2020, a unique Party building work exchange meeting was held in the meeting room on the third floor of Zhejiang Baofang Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd. The leading group of the CPC Xingguo County Committee, together with the board of directors and the leading group of the General Party Branch of Baofang Printing and Dyeing, carried out a Party building exchange activity themed "Government-Enterprise Exchanges for Development, and Innovative Party Building for a New Chapter", focusing on the topics of "Party Building Leadership" and "Model Xingguo".

Present to provide guidance were leaders of the CPC Xingguo County Committee, including Lai Xiaojun, Secretary of the CPC Xingguo County Committee; Yang Zhizheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xingguo County Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Economic and Technological Development Zone; Zeng Gaoliang, Director of the General Office of the CPC Xingguo County Committee; Chen Zhengwei, Director of the Bureau of Commerce of Xingguo County; and Wu Zhiming, Captain of the Traffic Police Brigade of Xingguo County.

The specially invited guests included Yu Awu, Founder of Mingpai Jewelry and Chairman of Riyue Group; Yu Haohua, General Manager; and Xie Weifeng, Director of the General Office.

Party Building Leads, Industrial Development Revitalizes the Nation

At the meeting, Yu Shaobo, Chief Executive Director of Baofang Printing and Dyeing, briefed the participants on the enterprise’s current production and operation status of adhering to the guidance of Party building for high-quality development. Yu Baomu, Chairman of Baofang Printing and Dyeing, elaborated on the major work measures of empowering production management through Party building—establishing a matrix-style Party building management structure, innovating an integrated Party building-led development model, and solving the operational problems of disjointed Party building work. He also presented the basic achievements of the enterprise’s Party building work embodied in the four core strengths: Five-Star Party Building, Beautiful Baofang, independent export business, and a world-renowned brand. Particularly, against the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic at the beginning of the year, the General Party Branch played a vanguard and exemplary role as a fighting fortress, tackling tough challenges, uniting people's minds and pooling strength, and standing together through thick and thin, which became the core driving force for the enterprise's rapid resumption of production and business operations.

Party building guides, industrial development rejuvenates the nation.

After the meeting, Secretary Lai and his entourage from the CPC Xingguo County Committee visited the workshops of Baofang Printing and Dyeing and conducted research on the practical application of Party building work in production management. The picture shows Secretary Lai carefully reviewing the Party Member Logs: an important channel for ensuring the smooth transmission of higher-level instructions to the grassroots and the feedback of grassroots opinions to higher levels. Compiled daily by Party members or active Party membership applicants at each machine station, the logs record information including employees' ideological dynamics, production performance, safety conditions, workplace hygiene, attendance rates, as well as their suggestions and proposals. Collected and organized on a daily basis by full-time Party workers, the logs are submitted to the relevant responsible persons, with direct feedback provided within three days. This seamless communication mechanism bridges the gap between the management and the grassroots.

On the workshop floor, the signs marking the contact points for Party members and cadres are clearly visible. Secretary Lai expressed full approval of Baofang’s measures to incorporate the Party building responsibility system into the enterprise’s articles of association and integrate the Party Member Pioneer Posts into performance assessments, and instructed the Director of the County Party Committee General Office to carefully document these practical and effective practices.

In the finished product workshop, Secretary Lai and his entourage heard a briefing on Baofang’s development journey of responding to the national strategic layout of the Belt and Road Initiative, focusing on the export of batik printed products to Africa and adhering to independent distribution for differentiated competition. They felt the persistent efforts of Baofang Printing and Dyeing in pursuing the vision of "revitalizing the nation through industry" and "strengthening the country through textile industry", and encouraged the enterprise to stay true to its original aspiration and keep its mission firmly in mind, to build a century-old enterprise and a world-renowned brand.

Xingguo County, under the jurisdiction of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is a model county of the Chinese Soviet Area, a county of the Red Army, a county of martyrs, and a county of generals. It also served as the main battlefield for the Red Army's third and fifth campaigns against the "encirclement and suppression" operations兴国县政府. During the period of the Chinese Soviet Republic, Mao Zedong personally inscribed the flag of merit "Model Xingguo" and awarded it to the county. Within Xingguo County, Lianjiang Academy, where Mao Zedong once held the "Land Revolution Cadre Training Class", as well as the General Memorial Hall, the Exhibition Hall of the Fine Work Style of Cadres in the Soviet Area, the Memorial Hall of Revolutionary Martyrs, the Memorial Hall of Revolutionary History, and the Memorial Hall of Comrade Mao Zedong's Changgang Investigation, all stand as witnesses to the county's red historical legacies.
